Why EYEDEER?
I have always felt a need to solve problems... (even other's problems).
If something frustrates me in the slightest my mind's wheels start turning and thinking on how it could be solved, or done better.
I come from a family of creative problem solvers, so I guess it is part of my DNA and has always been a natural part of the way I think & communicate.
I would often, and still do, share ideas with my father as a sounding board or to test my solution ... but I have never had a way to share them any further a field, nor did I know where to start looking to find others who could help make them a reality.
It wasn't until much later in life that I realized that it was how a person solved a problem, or even the fact they identified the problem in the first place that set them apart.
I want to provide creative problem solvers, like myself, a stage to show off their EYEDEERS, as diverse, crazy, 'left of field' or 'pie in the sky' as they may be (even if they never became a reality). To celebrate their smarts, impress with their 'out of the box' thinking, and possibly enable connections, to bring future big world solutions to life.
Unlike others who believe ideas don't have value until they are enacted upon, I believe a portfolio of ideas is more powerful and telling than any resume, and will give a much deeper and better understanding of the way a person thinks and their capacity to pivot in our ever-changing and fast paced world.

Why EYEDEER?
As a child I found myself dreaming consistently of things and buildings I wanted to create.
As an adult after achieving an architectural degree and opening my own architectural firm, I was fortunate to be able to turn some of those dreams into reality. However the more I was able to achieve the more exciting and the more adventurous the things I dreamt about became.
In employing other architects in my firm it gave me an opportunity to share and discuss my ideas with more than just my close friends and family. This inevitably resulted in the projects I was about to undertake being improved and it encouraged my staff to share and discuss their own ideas.
The internet has changed the world we live in and how we communicate with one another and provided an opportunity for ideas and aspirations to be exposed to a much larger audience.
What EYEDEER offers that other internet platforms don’t is not only the opportunity for people to show off their ideas in both words and pictures but also the opportunity to keep a private record of those ideas in their own secure vault, if they wish, to demonstrate their capacity to think creatively about the things and issues which others may not.
I believe being able to demonstrate a capacity for thinking creatively and problem solving is invaluable in life and is something that sets you apart from others, who you may be competing for the next big step in your life.
